At the beginning of the teaser, Pathan's past is presented to the audience. It is heard in the background voice that he has been missing for three years. After being sent on the last mission, he was captured by the enemy. But it is not known whether he is alive! Then comes the full voice - 'I'm alive.' In the rest of the teaser, the action of Shahrukh Khan's Dhundhuma and Deepika's appealing entry are catching the attention of the audience.
